DeBrodie Case Transferred to Boone County
A Callaway Judge has transferred a wrongful death lawsuit to Boone County.
The transfer in the case of Carl Debrodie was ordered yesterday. [Friday]
Caryolyn Summer, DeBrodie’s mother, filed the lawsuit, with numerous divisions of Callaway County listed as defendants. The case is being transferred with the intent of a more thorough jury and to avoid conflict of interest.
DeBrodie had been a resident of Second Chance Homes when he was reported missing in April. After a several day search, his remains were found encased in concrete in a storage unit in Fulton.
No criminal charges have been filed in the case at this time. The Callaway County Prosecutors Office received the death investigation report last month.
