Two new members will be seated on the Mexico School Board of Education in April.
The seats became open due to Bev Borgenson and Dr. Peter Pearl not seeking re-election.
One of the newest members is Nate Birt.
He is married to his wife Julie and they have three children.
Birt is a managing editor for Farm Journal.
He says that his objective as a new board member will be to spend the first few months studying documents and getting his feet underneath him.
There will be no election since there were only two open seats and only two people filed.
Birt along with Scott Nichols will be worn in at the Mexico School Board Meeting on April 17th.
