Mizzou Tigers Season Comes To a Close

In sports:

The Mizzou Men’s Basketball season came to an end last night after dropping their first game of the NCAA tournament to the Florida State Seminoles last night, 67 to 54.

A disappointing first half haunted the Tigers as they fought to come back from a 42 to 20 deficit at the half.

The closest Mizzou came was within 6 points of the Seminoles, but couldn’t keep up the momentum.

Kassius Robertson scored a team high 19 points.

The team was forced to play without their second leading scorer, Jordan Barnett after his arrest for DWI last week.

Michael Porter Jr. was gassed at the end of the second half, and continued to struggle with his jump shots. He finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while his little brother Jontay, scored uncharacteristically low with only 2 points.

Jermiah Tilmon fouled out in the second half, while Jordan Geist missed 5 out of 6 shots.

Now it’s the women’s turn to take the court. They will take on the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles at 2:40.
