The Mexico Bulldogs baseball team ended up winning one and losing one over the weekend.
The Bulldogs picked up their first win of the season against Eldon 8-3.
Tyler Talley scored an RBI, while Ty Prince had a triple and 2 RBI in the contest.
The second game on the weekend was a loss to California 15-5.
Mexico skipper Keith Louder says it was a cold day and it was drizzling the entire game causing the pitchers a terrible time with gripping and controlling the ball.
Mexico issued 18 walks and hit 2 batters, while California issued 5 walks and hit batsmen.
Mexico is now 1-5 on the year and are scheduled to play again tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
The Final Four is set in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
It will be the 11th seeded Loyola-Chicago against 3 seed Michigan.
Then two number seeds do battle when Villanova takes on the Kansas Jayhawks.
Both games will be played this Saturday, March 31st.
The 25th ranked Missouri Tigers baseball team beat Mississippi State 5-4 yesterday (Sunday) in 11 innings.
It was the Tigers first ever series win against Mississippi State.
The win came with a walk off sac fly in the bottom of the 11th.
Mizzou is now 19-6 overall and 3-3 in the SEC.
In Spring Training Baseball yesterday (Sunday) it was the St. Louis Cardinals losing to the Washington Nationals 4-2.
The Kansas City Royals lose 5-3 to the Chicago Cubs.
