KXEO Sports Report for 4/30/18: Cardinals Swept by Bucks, Royals Win Two In a Row

The St. Louis Cardinals swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates losing 5-0 yesterday (Sunday).

From the ninth inning on Friday to the ninth inning yesterday (Sunday) the Redbirds were outscored 15-2.

Pirates rookie Nick Kingham retired the first 20 Cardinals batters he faced and threw seven shutout innings in his major league debut.


The Kansas City Royals have won two games in a row after beating the Chicago White Sox 5-4 yesterday.

Two home runs by Cheslor Cuthbert and a key eight inning hit by Whit Merrifeild propelled the Royals to victory.
