Nine people died in traffic crashes over the Memorial Day Weekend.
The Missouri Highway Patrol report last year 9 people died during the same counting period. The counting period started on Friday, May 25th and concluded last (Monday) night at 11:59.
Of the fatalities 3 happened in the Lee’s Summit area and 3 in Weldon Spring.
One in Springfield and one in St. Joseph, and the remaining fatality was investigated by the St. Louis County Police Department.
There were no boating fatalities reported.
