The Mexico School Board met last night [Tuesday] and continued their discussion about the possibility of a softball team at the Mexico Middle School for the 2019/2020 school year.
Board member Kelli Teel made the motion to take steps to put a plan in place for the team, while other members of the board were a little more hesitant without more information about things such as potential interest in the program, facilities, transportation for players and other area teams being available for play.
Activities director Jeff Anderson said a decision would need to be made quickly, as teams set sports schedules a year in advance.
Teel informed the board she would like to see information gathered by the July meeting, with a potential decision to be reached by August.
The next meeting will be held July 20th at noon.
