An Amber Alert has been issued from the Kansas City Police Department for the abduction of a 15 year old girl.

Brejean Sledge is a black female who was taken from 2711 Elmwood in Kansas City around 5:00 yesterday afternoon. [Thursday]

Sledge is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 125 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and dark pants.

Sledge is believed to be in immediate danger due to a shooting at the residence she went missing from.

The suspect is described as a black male 18 to 20 years old, around 5 feet 7 inches tall wearing a gray sweatshirt. He is reported to be armed and dangerous. There is no description of a suspect vehicle.

Anyone seeing Sledge should call 911 immediately.
