A man accused of killing 92 year old Carmelita Kaser in Moberly on Easter in 2013 was found guilty in a late night verdict.
The jury deliberated for 8 hours before convicting Jeffrey Nichols.
Nichols, along with Christopher Lewis, who entered a guilty plea in 2016, and is currently serving a life sentence, stabbed Kaser with a machete and beat her with the butt of a gun.
The court will reconvene today at 10:00, when the jury will be asked to decide if Nichols will receive the death penalty for the crime.
