Twenty three animals dogs and one goat were found to be living in deplorable conditions by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office and the Camden County Animal Control Officer.
Investigators were called for an alleged dog bite to a home off Irontown Drive in Roach.
Upon arrival, they were escorted down a long path by the property owner where they found 2 adult women, one adult male and the animals living in a camping tent surrounded by fencing. A goat was heard and was bleating in distress, and was found to have an infected leg injury. The goat was immediately taken for care.
Sixteen other animals have been voluntarily surrendered and will be put up for adoption after receiving care from a veterinarian.
