Wright City Man Sentenced After Threatening To Blow Up Mosque

A Wright City man who pleaded guilty to make threatening phone calls to mosque in Georgia has been sentenced to 2 years in prison.

50 year old Preston Q. Howard made numerous calls to the Islamic Society of Augusta in which he threatened to kill the members and blow up the mosque.

In a statement, prosecutors said Howard’s sentence was enhanced because the victims were chosen based on the their religion, making it a hate crime.
