An actor with ties to Missouri is being featured in a radio ad against the right-to-work-law that will appear on the August 7th ballot.
An ad featuring John Goodman will be airing in the St. Louis market, and according to the actor the law is marketed as a way to help workers, however his message to voters in the ad is to look a little deeper and you will see it is all about corporate greed.
Goodman went to high school and college in Missouri and starred in the sitcom Roseanne.
Right-to-work- supporters are saying workers should be able to choose whether they pay fees in industries that require union membership.
Missouri lawmakers passed a law last year that banned mandatory union fees, opponents gathered enough signatures to put it to a public vote on August 7th.
