MU Task Force Targets Hazing

A 40 person task force committed to evaluating greek life on the University of Missouri Campus issued a report today [Tuesday] targeting hazing.

Some of the recommendations to improve the culture of hazing on campus include limiting initiation periods to six weeks, only allowing social events involving alcohol to Thursday through Sunday, not allowing pledges to live in Greek housing unless the organization meets accreditation levels and encouraging self reporting of hazing incidents.

Three fraternities are no longer active due to violations of Greek rules.
