Man Pleads Guilty To Involuntary Manslaughter In Fatal Crash

A Holts Summit man has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the first degree for a car accident that killed 31 year old Courtney Ford in September, 2015.

According the Callaway County Prosecutors Office, 32 year old Robert Bias admitted he was driving under the influence of alcohol and driving too fast on County Road 486.


He lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree. Ford was seriously injured, and later died as a result of her injuries.

Bias was sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and must complete the Shock Incarceration Program before being considered for release.
