Callaway County Deputies arrested a man after he reportedly fled from officers while riding an ATV on State Road J, north of Guthrie.
According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy attempted to stop an ATV without any headlights or taillights. Thirty Three year old Russell Barnes was identified as the driver.
He was later arrested in the 2900 block of County Road 328, and transported to the Callaway County Jail on suspicion of driving while suspended, resisting arrest and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
The Callaway County Prosecutor additionally charged him with an additional offense of felony stealing stemming from an unrelated incident in which a stolen trailer was recovered in the Guthrie area.
