Mexico Brookstone Employees Issued WARN Act Notices

The Brookstone Distribution Center in Mexico is providing employees with WARN Act notices.

The notice stands for worker adjustment and retraining notification.

Employers that have 100 or more employees must provide the notice 60 days in advance of covered plant closings and covered mass layoffs.

In an e-mail issued by the Brookstone CEO today (Thursday), says the company continues to engage productively with multiple prospective buyers, however do not yet know who the ultimate buyer will be or what that buyers’ intentions may be and no decision has been made to close any facilities or eliminate any positions at the Mexico or any other location.

Brookstone declared chapter 11 bankruptcy last month on August 2nd.
