The Boone County Fire Protection District is reporting that as of noon today [MONDAY] Missouri Task Force One crews deployed to North Carolina to assist with Hurricane Florence relief have rescued a total of 125 people, including a 9 month pregnant woman having contractions.
The team is divided into 2 areas, one in Brunswick County and the other in Leland.
The task force, along with crews from the North Carolina National Guard and the Coast Guard evacuated 5 neighborhoods in the Leland, North Carolina area, and sent a team into Hanover County to assist with several water rescues.
Crews in both Brunswick County and Leland operated for 36 hours straight before being brought in at around 6:00 last night [SUNDAY]. They were sent out again at 7AM.
