Two Mexico residents were involved in a car crash on Highway 22 near Audrain Road 929 at around 7:15 this morning. [Wednesday]
According to the Highway Patrol, the crash happened when 80 year old Mabel Evans slowed because she was having a difficult time seeing due to glare from the sun.
A vehicle driven by 20 year old Juan Ramirez then rear ended Evans.
Ramirez was uninjured. Evans was taken by ambulance to SSM St. Mary’s Hospital-Audrain for treatment of moderate injuries.
