The husband of a South Dakota woman found fatally shot on Interstate 70 on December 13 told a Sioux Falls TV Station he has been told he is a person of interest.
Melissa Peskey’s husband, Ryan Peskey, told KELO-TV investigators said he was a person of interest in case because he didn’t immediately pick up the phone when authorities called.
KELO also reports Melissa Peskey was traveling to North Carolina with her two children, ages 5 and 11, to visit friends when she was killed.
Melissa Peskey was found dead in her crashed vehicle. An autopsy revealed she died of a gunshot wound that came from outside the car.
Sergeant Scott White with the Missouri State Highway Patrol says they have received more than 60 leads in the case.
