An inmate death at the Jefferson City Correctional Center appears to be of natural causes.
Officials from the Missouri Department of Corrections said 66 year old John Turner died on Tuesday afternoon.
He was serving a 100 year sentence for Second Degree Murder in Jackson County.
Turner began serving the sentence in September of 1980.
