Mexico Girls Softball Headed To Springfield in Final Four
The Mexico Girls Softball team is headed to Springfield for a Final Four appearance after defeating the St. Charles Pirates 6-1 this (Saturday) afternoon at Gallop Field.
Mexico took care of business after falling behind 1-0 in the first inning.
Mattie Roth tied the game with an RBI single in the second inning.
Then Logan Blevins jacked a 2 run bomb out of the park to left field to give the bulldogs their first lead of the game.
Mexico would not look back.
Hayley Mills with an RBI triple.
Paytience Lawson-Holman recorded 10 strikeouts for the game.
Up next a game against the Sullivan Eagles on Friday, October 26th at 10 am in Springfield, Missouri.
The winner will play for the Class 3 girls softball championship.
This is the first Final Four Appearance since 2014.
