First Snowfall Of The Season Possible Thursday

The National Weather Service is predicting the first snowfall of the season tomorrow [Thursday] night according to their most recent forecast.

Precipitation is expected to begin as rainfall in the early evening tomorrow before changing to snow during the night.

Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches is possible on grassy surfaces in northeast Missouri and west central Illinois, with one half inch or less expected elsewhere.

Patchy ice could be possible on bridges and overpasses Friday morning.
