A Marion County Crash just after 3:00 yesterday afternoon has left one dead and one with serious injuries. [Friday]
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the vehicle, driven by 42 year old Larry Parkes of Philadelphia, Missouri was southbound on U.S. 61 when he lost control on the ice covered roadway, striking the guard rail.
The SUV overturned coming to rest against a tree.
The passenger in the car, 35 year old Kelli Walker, also of Philadelphia, was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
Parkes was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts.
