The 2 day search for 23 year old Rafaella Stroik of St. Louis came to a tragic end [Wednesday] this morning at Mark Twain Lake State Park.
Sergeant Eric Brown with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a press conference a volunteer in a private plane spotted Stroik’s body floating near the
opposite bank of the lake at around 9:40, and there are no obvious signs of foul play.
An autopsy will likely be conducted Thursday at the Boone County Medical Examiner’s Office in Columbia.
Brown said the investigation is ongoing, and they will be working to gather information on how Stroik ended up in Monroe County.
