The National Weather Service says confidence is increasing for a significant winter storm tomorrow [Sunday] which is reported to be one of the most popular travel days of the year.
A winter storm will bring the potential for significant snow across northern Missouri. Strong gusty winds reaching 40 miles per hour are expected which will lead to blowing snow and reduced visibility in areas that receive snow with near blizzard conditions possible at times.
The NWS is urging travelers planning to be on the roads tomorrow to change their plans now.
A winter storm warning has been issued for Knox, Lewis, Marion and Shelby counties, while a winter weather advisory has been issued in Monroe and Ralls Counties.
