Ripley Entertainment Settles Lawsuit
The company that owns the duck boat that sank in Table Rock Lake near Branson in July killing 17 people has settled the first of several lawsuits filed in response to the accident.
The children William and Janice Bright of Higginsville filed the suit soon after the July 19 accident.
The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed at this time.
The other defendants in the case, Ride The Ducks International LLC; the captain of the duck boat Kenneth Scott McKee and the driver of the of the vehicle on land, Robert Williams who drowned when the boat sank, have not yet settled.
