The Mexico Lady Bulldogs were defeated 42 to 39 against the Battle Spartans last (Tuesday) night.
Mexico fell to 0-2 on the season.
They next play on Saturday at 8 in the Norm Stewart Classic against Mid Buchanan.
The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team dropped a close game 79-77 to the Temple Owls last (Tuesday) night at Mizzou Arena.
Mizzou sophomore guard Mark Smith matched a season high with 19 points, three other Tigers reached double figures including Kevin Puryear with 16 points, Jeremiah Tilmon with 14, and Jordan Geist chipped in 11.
Mizzou dropped 3-3 on the season.
Their next game is on Sunday at home against University of Central Florida.
