Murder Conviction Upheld In Appeals Court

The Missouri Appeals Court has upheld the conviction of a man accused of killing 2 people during a drug deal in September of 2015.

Darious Lucas was convicted of murder and armed criminal action for the deaths of James Richardson of Columbia and Kenneth Long of Mexico.

Lucas was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The appeal was filed alleging the court wrongfully sustained the prosecution’s objection to his offer of proof regarding information that another person had confessed to the murders.
