A Mexico man is facing charges following a traffic stop and arrest for drugs.
According to the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office it happened yesterday (Tuesday) morning at 11:47 when a deputy observed 28 year old Tyrek DeShawn Williams driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner along East Liberty Street in Mexico.
A traffic stop was made on East Promenade near the intersection of Agriculture Street.
The deputy reports Williams was found to be possession of Cocaine, Heroin, Marijuana, and around $850.00 in cash.
Williams apparently attempted to destroy the contraband and was arrested.
He posted a twenty eight thousand dollar bond and was released pending a court appearance.
