Two people have filed with the City of Mexico to fill one seat on the City Council.
Incumbent Councilman Chris Williams has declared that he will run for the City Council again.
Joshua Price has also filed for the seat.
The Audrain County Sheriff’s Department is in week 3 of renovations. Sheriff Matt Oller says the first bricks on the project came out on May 29th. Sheriff Oller says the work is projected to be completed in the late fall of next year.

The cause of a power outage in Mexico this (Monday) afternoon has been identified. According to a member of Ameren’s media relations department, the cause was due to an equipment malfunction. The outage affected approximately 1,400 residents from around 2:25 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
