Mexico Board Of Education To Discuss School Reconfiguration

The Mexico Board of Education is expected ton continue their conversations and possibly vote on a reconfiguration of kindergarten through fifth grade in the district at the board meeting on Tuesday, December 18.

A town hall was held on November 15 with the purpose board members learning of concerns from the community and for attendees to gain more information on the potential change in where elementary students will be attending classes.


The proposal suggests making McMillan Elementary will hold Pre-K through Kindergarten students while Hawthorne and Eugene Field will be designated for grades one through 5.

The meeting will take place at 6:00 at Central Office located at 2101 Lakeview.
