The expansion project at the Fulton State Hospital is on schedule with patients ready to move in this summer according to a spokesperson for the hospital.
The new building will be named after former Governor Jay Nixon and called the Nixon Forensic Center.
The expansion will have 300 beds, and approximately half a million square feet.
It will have about 700 employees.
The entire project cost about 211 million dollars.
An open house and job fair is expected sometime in the spring of 2019.
