UM Curators Hear New Retirement Plan

The University of Missouri Board of Curators gave preliminary approval today [Thursday] to a proposed new retirement plan that officials say will offer new employees more flexibility.

If the plan is approved, those hired on or after October 1 will have a defined contribution plan in which the University will match dollar-to-dollar up to 8 percent.

The vesting period would be three years.

The board will decide if they will give final approval at a later meeting.
