A multiple car pileup closed Highway 54 in Miller County around 1:30 this afternoon.
Sergeant Scott White with the Missouri State Highway Patrol says around 50 cars were involved in crashes or slide offs in the same general area near Opie Road.
Crews are working to clear the road, and emergency crews are treating injuries.
Sgt. White says he is unsure on the number of injuries at this time, but there have been no fatalities.
