A Columbia Battle High Senior is making some history, being the first girl to go to college as a woman wrestler in the Columbia Public School District history.
Taylor Reed signed to Westminster College last (Tuesday) night. She started wrestling 9 months ago, and received a partial wrestling scholarship to Westminster that will cover the majority of her education.
The Missouri State High School Activities Association made girls wrestling an official high school sport in May last year.
This is the first year girls have been able to compete on their own wrestling team.
