Fire Truck Flips Over Near Columbia

The passenger of a fire truck is recovering from minor injuries after an accident near Columbia early yesterday (Sunday) morning.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the fire truck was entering Highway 63 northbound from Highway 763 responding to an emergency call when it lost control on some ice, slid off the road, and hit a tree coming to rest on its side.

The driver was okay.

The passenger 19 year old Cameron Spalding of Columbia was taken to the University Hospital with minor injuries.
