Federal Investigator Deployed For Gas Line Explosion

An investigator with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has been deployed to Mexico to investigate the cause of a pipeline rupture early yesterday [Sunday] morning.

The investigator is being sent to Missouri 15, one mile north of Mexico where a massive fire erupted.

The failed section of pipe will then be shipped to laboratory for metallurgical analysis.

Missouri 15 remains closed today, but is expected to re-open tomorrow.
