Fulton Man Sentenced To 30 Years For Pursuit, Firing At Officers

A Fulton man was sentenced to 30 years in prison today [Tuesday] for a multi-county pursuit and firing a gun at officers and semi-trailers on April 7, 2016.

Russell Dean Moore admitted to running from a Boone County deputy in a stolen jeep. During the pursuit, Moore fired at the deputy on numerous occasions, eventually disabling the patrol vehicle.

Moore said the reason he shot the semi-trailers was to cause a serious accident, allowing him to escape.

Moore, along with another occupant of the jeep were arrested when the vehicle ran out of gas on Callaway County Road 172.
