Classes at Williamsburg Elementary School were canceled today [Wednesday] after a gas or carbon monoxide leak was discovered.
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office received the call at around 7:45AM.
The leak is believed to have come from a heating unit near the front office, and no classrooms were affected. The unit was turned off and will likely have to be replaced.
Students were in the process of arriving at the school, and some were already there.
Classes will be back in session tomorrow.
