Mexico Public Safety says during the last week of June through July 7, officers responded to or discovered approximately 50 incidents of fireworks being discharged unlawfully in the city limits.
In a release, the department reports the majority of those contacted were given documented warnings, and one adult was issued a summons.
One juvenile will be referred to the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division for violations of the ordinance.
No one that was issued a warning was found to be violating the ordinance a second time.
Public Safety received one report of fireworks-related property damage but no one was injured.
