A search is on in Columbia after an attempted break in on the east side of Columbia.
According to reports from ABC 17 three men entered a home around 3 this (Thursday) morning saying they were police officers.
Residents of the house realized the men were not officers and called police.
The three men described as wearing light-colored hoodies and carrying handguns then took off.
A K-9 unit was brought to the area for a search however the men were not found.
