A Boone County Judge is starting a child support court to help parents without custody of their children.
The court will allow child support cases to be filed as civil instead of criminal, with the approval of the prosecutor.
The county is starting the program in partnership with the Fathers Committed to Families Program, that can also include mothers.
The aim of the court is to help parents make child support payments and work on paying any back child support that may be owed.
