Man Takes Moberly Police On Foot Chase After Traffic Stop

A man is facing charges of resisting arrest after taking Moberly Police on a foot chase early yesterday (Sunday) morning.

Moberly Police say they tried to stop a vehicle in the 800 block of Franklin Street, around 3:45 Sunday morning.

When the vehicle stopped in a private driveway, the passenger Travis Bailey took off running according to officers.

After a brief foot pursuit and fight with police Bailey was arrested.

He had an active Macon County warrant, and claimed to have consumed a large amount of heroin and prescription medication according to police.

Bailey remains in the Macon County Jail on a ten thousand dollar cash only bond.
