Hydro testing completed on 15 miles of pipeline around Mexico on Monday is a success.
According to Energy Transfer spokesperson Vicki Granado, the testing done on the Panhandle Eastern Pipe that runs from west to east starting at Panhandle’s Centralia Compressor Station near Highway Z and ending near Highway J, was completed around 5:15 p.m.
Water was run through the stretch of pipe at a more increased pressure than natural gas, and for an extended period of time.
Energy transfer says all tests have now confirmed the integrity of the line and testing is complete.
Preparations are being made to restore the line to service.
