A portion of southbound Providence Road in Columbia was Columbia was closed briefly this afternoon. [Wednesday]
Boone County Joint Communications posted the road was closed at Fourth Avenue due to a gas leak.
A backhoe reportedly hit a gas line.
The issue was repaired within an hour.
