Spring Turkey Season Begins
Spring Turkey season began today [Monday] in Missouri.
According to Conservation Agent Norman Steelman, shooting hours are a half hour prior to sunrise to 1:00 in the afternoon through May 5th.
During the season, youth ages 6 to 15 do not have to have hunter education, but would have to hunt in the immediate presence of an adult over the age of 18 that has completed a hunter education course.
Methods allowed during the spring firearms turkey hunting season include a shotgun and a longbow or compound bow.
Permits can be obtained using the Mo Hunt app on Google Play or iTunes.
