Columbia Library Evacuated

The Daniel Boone Regional Library in Columbia was temporarily evacuated this afternoon [Tuesday] because of a bomb threat.

A suspicious tweet indicated an incident would occur at 11:40 AM.


Patrons and staff of the library were evacuated by 10:55 and a bomb sniffing dog was brought in to assist.

No bomb or anything suspicious was found in the building.

The library reopened after the noon hour.
