Driver Identified Involved With Injuring Mexico Public Safety Officer

The driver involved with injuring a Mexico Public Safety officer during a traffic stop yesterday (Monday) is being identified.

According to Mexico Public Safety during a traffic stop in the 400 block of West Promenade, it was determined the driver had an active arrest warrant, however the driver drove from the scene before he could safely be arrested.

The driver was 21 year old Trevor B. Pepper of Mexico.

Public safety says Pepper was not injured during the incident, and is not an immediate danger to himself or others.

An investigation is continuing and will be forwarded to the Audrain County Prosecutor when concluded.
