Weak Tornado Confirmed in Audrain County Last Week

A weak tornado is confirmed to have hit north of Mexico last week.

According to the National Weather Service out of St. Louis a weak tornado spun up the night of Wednesday, May 22nd near the intersection of Highway J and Bean Creek in Audrain County causing some tree damage.

The tornado quickly moved to the Northwest, where it caused extensive damage to a barn and damaged more trees.

The tornado produced 85 mile per hour winds and started 6 miles west/north west of Rush Hill.
