A two year old sustained minor injuries after being hit by a car just before noon today [Monday] in the 900 block of Monroe Street in Jefferson City.
According to the police department, two year old Jason Williams was standing in the roadway near the curb when he was struck by a 2006 Dodge Caravan driven by 59 year old James Buchanan.
Williams was taken by private conveyance to a hospital for treatment of abrasions to his left foot.
Police say Buchanan was found to be impaired and placed under arrest for alcohol-related offenses.
